NON-MEMBER WAIVER FORM
The Cedar Mountain Nordic Ski Club (CMNSC)is a nonprofit
organization formed for the purpose of promoting cross country skiing in

1. Assumption of the risk: I acknowledge that cross country skiing can be a dangerous sport/activity in which I participate at my own risk. I recognize that in taking part in CMNSC activities I am responsible for my safety. This includes providing proper equipment (including food and water) and responsibility for my physical health and conditioning. If I have any question as to my capacity to take part in a CMNSC activity I realize that it is my responsibility to not participate. I realize that taking part in CMNSC activities can subject a participant to many risks, including, but not limited to the following:
a) icy and steep slopes,
b) exposed rocks and/or soil under thin snow,
c) extreme weather conditions: cold, blizzards, rain, etc.,
d) exhaustion,
e) rock falls, floods, or avalanches with resulting injury or death;
f) attack from wild animals,
g) failure of ski equipment.
I also understand that there are other risks that may not be foreseeable to the activity leaders and I accept that the risk of these unforeseen dangers is my sole responsibility.
2. Liability release: In consideration of the agreement of CMNSC to allow me to participate in its activities, hereby for myself, my heirs, assigns and personal representatives, I waive, release and forever discharge CMNSC, its employees, officers, directors, agents, members, sponsors, promoters, and affiliates whatsoever, from any and all liability, claim, loss, cost or expense arising from or attributable in any legal way to any act or omission to act, of any person or organization, sponsorship or execution of any CMNSC workout, race or event, including to and from said activity in which I may participate. To the best of my knowledge I have no physical condition that would interfere with my ability to participate in or attend any said event or would endanger my life thereby.
3. Meaning of Signature: By signing this waiver I knowingly agree to assume any potential risk that might result from a club sponsored activity. I further acknowledge by signing that I understand fully and completely the contents of the waiver and sign under no compulsion. The signing of this form hereby binds me to the above waiver for the entire duration of my participation in CMNSC events. If I am a parent or guardian of a participant under 18 years of age, I also agree to the above conditions.
