Volunteers Are Needed! Please help us disassemble the Cedar Breaks yurt for transport and storage over the winter, in anticipation of re-assembling it at Deer Hollow next summer for use as a warming hut and a welcome/information center.

About the Event
We have the go-ahead from the District Ranger to get to work disassembling the yurt at Cedar Breaks.
We need volunteers for two days – next Tuesday, 10/21 to take down the walls, rafters, and roof, and next Wednesday, 10/22 to take apart the platform. It will be a big job, so please consider lending a hand for one or both days.
We will meet at the yurt location—the Alpine Pond Trailhead along the Cedar Breaks Scenic Drive (S.R. 148) in the park, at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Jess H. from the Forest Service will bring some tools, ladders, and a trailer, but if you have a power screwdriver or a cordless drill with screwdriver bits to bring along, it would be a good idea. Also, please dress warmly, bring work gloves, and lunch for the day.
